Gender-Neutral Constitutional Language Amendment
on ballot: November 5, 2024
This would replace male terms with gender-neutral terms, no longer ignoring women.
We regard a “yes” vote as helpful to the goal of stopping discriminatory practices, which in turn will ultimately help the goal of ending violence.

Background: South Dakota had a trigger ban to stop abortion entirely and this is now in effect because of Roe being overturned. The proposed amendment would undo this.

Ballotpedia lists the organization sponsor as Dakotans for Health. But beware: this same organization is working on the initiative to codify Roe v. Wade. Accordingly, expect any interaction with them to require special care.
