Background: South Dakota had a trigger ban to stop abortion entirely and this is now in effect because of Roe being overturned. The proposed amendment would undo this.

Setting aside the violence done to unborn children, a point which proponents of this measure steadfastly ignore, the rhetoric they use about women also steadfastly ignores harm done. We regard a “yes” vote as helpful to the goal of stopping discriminatory practices, which in turn will ultimately help the goal of ending violence.
